GOWrite 2.3.28

Post by lpaatero »

This is stable release.

Main changes from 2.3.25:
  • * Added export file name to diagram. Name is used as part of filename whenever diagram is exported. This avoids problems with numbered diagrams when new diagrams are added.
    * Better usability for label adding. New label text is no longer asked, but visible and can be changed in main screen.
    * GOWrite now guesses better next color to add in case of problem setups, where next color to play is not explicitly marked.
    * Support for adding translated helps is integrated into linux and windows installations.
    * EMF/WMF export produces now always EMF file, but EMF can be optimized to be easily converted to WMF. Conversion is automatic for clipboard. WMF export has been broken for a long time, so it removing it should not affect users.
    * Fix to bug in translation sending.
    * In database search deleting directories may lead to missing search result due to faulty duplicate detection. Fix will require rebuilding database. Workaround: It is recommended to rebuild database after deleting directory trees.
    * Some JAVA 6 methods were used in special cases (did not work in Java5).
    * Fixed obscure bug that lead to incomplete presentation of search results.
    * Improvements to bitmap graphics: removed lines in border of bitmap, and improved circle sizing in small sizes.
    * H2 database engine is updated.
Windows integration is re-implemented:
  • * GOWrite.exe and GOWriteWin.dll are now fully unicode-base. Internally implementations are cleaned, and thus easier to maintain.
    * GOWrite.exe does not spawn new java process anymore (now Java is loaded using invocation API).
    * In Windows GOWrite icon will be correct always in task bar.
    * All native components are now build with Visual c++ 2008.
Windows integration has been tested in Win2000, WinXP and Win7; tests have been done using java versions 1.5.0 and latest 1.6 version.

GOWrite 2.3.28 changes from 2.3.27:
  • * Windows integration changes (as above).
If you see any kind of problems, please report!

Lauri
