True, SGF does not require diagram in root.
But then GOWrite is doing what you asked: You did not add diagram into root, so GOWrite did not produce diagram. So no bug. But bad usability, as you had to ask for help, and you are not only one who had been bitten by this issue.

I looked at SGF files you sent. There is no actual bug, but this is trap (eg bad usability). Problem is simple: There is no diagram at the start of game. And solution is to add one to start of game (just <b>insert->diagram</b> at the start of game). This problem happens, as GOWrite adds diagram to s...

<b>1</b>: Sounds like a bug. Could you send me file with problem? <b>2</b>: The scoring is stored SGF file, GOWrite does not produce automatically anything like that. You can do one of delete scoring: Delete button near territory calculation. Move it to variation (so it does not appear in diagram). ...

GOWrite 2.2.1
Installing and uninstalling GOWrite 2.2.1 It is possible to have both 2.1 and 2.2 installed at the same time, but I do not recommend it. It is generally better to install 2.2 on top of 2.1. Should one want to revert back to 2.1, just install 2.1 again on top of 2.2. This prevents any adverse intera...

Environments where GOWrite 2 works
GOWrite is known to run on at least Windows Linux Mac OS X Solaris when using Sun (or Apple) Java runtime. Unfortunately GOWrite does not work in runtimes using GUN/ClassPath, as ClassPath has (as of 25-sep-2006) limitations in swing support. (This may have changed.) Does GOWrite 2 work in all Java ...

Known limitations
This is partial list of known limitations that will be addressed in some future GOWrite version: It is not possible to alter set of game information. SGF property editing is only partially implemented, so some (seldom used) properties cannot be edited. GOWrite does not honor FF[4] SGF specification ...

Some features coming in next drop (expected to be out 2006-07-xx): - SVG export in HTML/XHTML. Works, but improvements still needed. It seems that there is lots of problems (or variations...) in applications rendering SVG. - Possibility to copy gaphics for just one move to clipboard. - HTML Export c...

This version (03-06-2006) is already quite well working, so it may be worth testing. It is possible to have both GOWrite 2.1 and 2.2 installed at the same time, as long as they are in different directories. However they should not be used during same session in linux or windows due to startup script...

2.1.24 contains (possibly partial) fix that allows select/unselect. Current selection can be extended or limited using shift-right click. This was intended way of working for day one, but sereval bugs and changes were preventing it from working. (I think it has never really worked...) You can also d...
